Pilot Projects with Vietnam and Tanzania

In 2008 Denmark entered into research framework agreements with two of the programme countries, Vietnam and Tanzania, with the aim of strengthening 1) the research capacity in these countries, and 2) the long-term cooperation between Danish institutions and institutions in the two countries. The pilot activities are based on the demand in the countries within the framework of the Danish bilateral development assistance. 

The budget for 2008 was DKK 10 millions annually for each of the two countries over a period of three years.

For 2009 and 2010, subject to parliamentary appropriation of funds, the budget will likewise be DKK 10 millions annually for each of the two countries.
