HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming
Target Group
Policy and decision-makers from governmental institutions, HIV/AIDS-coordinators, NGOs or private organisations involved in interventions supported by Danida. It is expected that participants are or will be responsible for implementation of HIV/AIDS mainstreaming policies in sector programmes and projects in their home countries.

Course Goals
To improve course participants’ capacity to deal with special interventions for HIV/AIDS and mainstreaming of HIV/AIDS when designing, implementing and monitoring development cooperation interventions.
Duration
4 weeks
Course Impact
Participants shall be able to mainstream HIV/AIDS internally and externally with regard to create short-term outcomes, as well as long-term impacts of the mainstreaming. The participants shall have knowledge of the mainstreaming requirements and the particularities of various sectors, and shall be able to relate this to and coordinate with the responsible body at national level.
Funding
The course is co-funded by Danida Fellowship Programme. After selection of course participants, the Danida programmes/projects are charged a non-refundable amount of DKK 2,500 per participant per tutorial week. Total funding needs are DKK 10,000 per participant. This includes study fees, accommodation, allowances, insurances and international transport.
