Conflict Management

Target Group
Staff from local organisations and institutions who have conflict management as a central component of their work – either at the level of the organisation or in the broader society.

Entry Profile
Participants should meet the following requirements:
- A good working knowledge of English
- Knowledge of development programming
- Knowledge and skills in training and learning

- Forum theatre as a method to address conflict
- Facilitation in development and conflict work
- Understanding societal conflict
- Conflict sensitive programming
- Strategic conflict prevention and peace building
- Training of trainers

Course Goals
Participants have strengthened their competence in dealing with conflict within their organisation, between organisations, in local communities, as well as at the broader societal level.

Duration
5 weeks

Course Structure
The course consists of 7 modules.

Participants get an opportunity to design a programme that addresses conflict, either locally or nationally.

Funding

The course is co-funded by Danida Fellowship Programme. After selection of course participants, the Danida programmes/projects are charged a non-refundable amount of DKK 2,500 per participant per tutorial week.

Total funding needs are DKK 12,500 per participant. This includes study fees, accommodation, allowances, insurances and international transport.

Frequency
The Conflict Management course will be realised annually provided sufficient number of qualified applicants is available.
