Aid Effectiveness
DFC hereby avails the possibility for Embassies to have a one week course on aid effectiveness held at national level. The course is intended for 15-20 participants.
The Embassy shall contact DFC if there is interest to have such a course organized.
Target Group
Senior managers from line ministries, public institutions and civil society organisations involved in management of development programmes. Participants are selected by the Embassy or the Embassy will issue a call for nominations to relevant institutions.

Learning Objective
Participants have acquired an understanding of current trends in development cooperation and, based on this, have developed an understanding of contemporary approaches to capacity assessment and development, and how these affect their organizations. Participants will analyze key challenges, identify critical thematic issues and draft an action plan for how to increase national ownership of donor-supported programmes.
Course Structure
In order to ensure that the outcome of the course is relevant to the individual participant and the home organization, the course will make extensive use of action-learning and participatory training methods. This will be done in a dynamic interactive learning environment and with use of international as well as national experts. The course will be supported by a tailor-made website. It will be conducted in-country at a venue providing a conducive environment for adult learning.
Funding
The course is co-funded by Danida Fellowship Programme. Programmes/projects are charged a non-refundable amount of DKK 750 per participant. This includes study fees and course facilities.
Frequency
Only a limited number of courses are available per year.
Place of Study
The course will be conducted at a central venue (to be agreed upon with the Embassy) by one of a team of consultants in cooperation with a local consultant (or when possible, a local partner institution)
