Degree Studies
Master's degree studies may be arranged and, in exceptional cases only, PhD studies. All degree studies are to be financed by the Danida programme/ project. The cost of the study covers the reimbursable expenses only: study fee, allowances, travel expenses, and accommodation.
It has been resolved that when training activities (both financed by the central and by programme/project funds) are to be carried out in Denmark, Danida Fellowship Centre shall be involved to ensure the homogeneity and quality of training and living conditions in Denmark.
Some universities offer standard Master degree courses in Denmark, where the teaching language is English. The studies available can be found here.
Master of International Health (MIH) offered by the University of Copenhagen may be of special interest for candidates from Danida's health and water programmes. University of Copenhagen also offers Master of Disaster Management (MDM) which could be relevant to candidates working with disaster and crisis management in Danida-supported programmes or projects. Also of interest to especially health programmes is the new Master of HIV at University of Copenhagen.
If the study is not offered in Denmark, it may be possible for the candidate to study in other industrialised countries. DFC has entered into an agreement of administration with the British Council for the United Kingdom and CNOUS for France. They will administer the study on behalf of DFC.
